How do I make a life insurance claim?

What do I need to make a life insurance claim?

  • Laya life policy details (for the person who died)
  • Original policy documents, if available. If not, contact our Customer Care Team
  • Death certificate*
  • Grant of probate* or letters of administration*. If you don’t have these documents, you can make a claim by completing section four of the claims form
  • Will* (if the person who died made one)
  • Utility bill or bank statement for the person who died, if their address has changed in the past 12 months
  • Copy of a valid passport or driving license of the person making the claim

 *Certified copies needed. This is a copy of the original document stamped by a solicitor, bank, financial institution or Garda station
